Privacy Policy

We collect pseudonymous, aggregated usage analytics through PostHog, hosted in the European Union. This includes:

• Pages and block categories viewed.
• Requests for a block or template registry file (what the shadcn CLI fetches to install one), counted by item and category, together with a best-effort note of what made the request: a command-line tool, a browser, or a crawler.
• Block and template interactions (fullscreen preview, open in v0, refresh, code view, and copying an install command).
• Standard request metadata: page referrer, approximate country derived from IP address, browser, and device type.
• Diagnostic error reports (error message and stack trace) when something breaks, used only to fix reliability issues.

Registry file requests carry a salted, one-way hash of your IP address and browser signature so repeat requests can be counted once. We cannot reverse it to an IP address, and it is not linked to a name, email, or account.

No cookies are set for analytics. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser's local storage to retain your selection between visits.

Collected information is used to measure usage and improve the registry. It is not used for advertising and is not sold or shared for marketing purposes.

We do not profile you or track you across other sites.

We use PostHog (analytics, EU region) and Vercel (hosting and content delivery) to operate this site. These providers process data on our behalf.

Analytics data is processed in the European Union and kept in line with PostHog's default retention policy.
