Retries That Do Not Take Your Service Down

Ripcord is timeouts, retries, and circuit breakers for TypeScript, in one dependency-free package. MIT licensed, and it has never had a breaking change in a minor.

# Usage

Three Lines, Then It Is Handled

The whole library is one wrapper and two policies. Everything else is a default you can leave alone.

  1. Wrap The Call

One function around the call you already make. No decorators, no proxy.

  2. Back Off With Jitter

Exponential backoff with full jitter, so a retry storm never syncs up.

  3. Trip The Breaker

Past the failure budget it stops calling, then probes until you recover.

The People Who Merge Your Pull Request

Six people who review, triage, and release, none of them paid by the same employer. Nobody here has a commercial product to sell you.

Reviews happen in the open, in the pull request, with the reasoning written down. No private channel decides your patch.
